I will personally check your manuscript for language, grammar, logic and flow. I will make suggestions on structural changes to improve clarity and flow and will advise on the addition or deletion of text where necessary. I can also look at your whole manuscript for focus, structure, format and style.

I am a retired teacher with three degrees: BEd, MA and PhD. I worked for a number of years as a freelance journalist before turning my attention to writing longer works. I now have 4 published novels for children and 7 for adult novels. My favoured genres are historical fiction and contemporary drama.

Guidelines for Submission:

  • Work to be submitted as an A4 Word Document
  • Double-spaced, single-sided
  • 3cm margins
  • Times New Roman font, 12 pt
  • Pages to be numbered
  • Title and Author on every page
  • Sent as an email attachment or hard copy by arrangement

Here’s what you need to do before you send me your work.

Read your whole manuscript three times. Firstly, check for obvious errors and spelling mistakes. Secondly, read it out loud to check the flow. Lastly, check for overall sequencing and clarity. Then read my guidelines for submission and set your work out as directed. Send it to me. I will read 10% and give you a free quote.

Your privacy and intellectual property are of paramount importance to me. No other person will have access to your work nor will I discuss your work with anyone without your express permission. You retain the copyright to your work.
